This long and discursive book results from a research commission by the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) given to an experienced consultant and academic, Ivor Francis. Francis, a New Zealander, worked closely with the late Edwards Deming, who was internationally respected for his work on quality management, and is himself an acknowledged expert in corporate performance measurement.
