"Liuba Kouranovskaya's life circles" (by Valeriy Vinogradsky, 01'ga Vinogradskaya, Alexander Nikoulin and 01'ga Fadeeva) is a prime record of a field research document - an interview with Liuba Kouranovskaya, rural women-worker (Kuban' - Russian black-soil South) whose life story had previosly been presented in our journal - № 1, 2002. Questions were asked and answers structured according to significance of near-by and remote factors of the village environment, of networks and gender influencing her family. Researchers have seen as central issue of their article an inquiry into impact of various existential circumstances on social consciousness of the family in question and, accordingly, what is the degree of freedom and how this consciousness unfluences, in its turn, varying circles of local life. Some quantitative aspects of this relationship have been assessed from family budget, while qualitative side of the matter emerges from a frank answer given by the interviewee: "I do survive mainly due to being women".
