"Low paid for job. Why do we acquiesce to it?" (by Ol'ga Issoupova) looks into phenomenon of labor remuneration when earnings do not exceed minimal living standard, as well as for pay subjectively seen as insufficient and unjust. It is argued that individuals agree to conditions offered mainly due to the force of circumstances as the situation in Russian labor market features both employers arbitrariness and lacking employees' protection. Gendered differences of considerable scale have been found out reflected in the fact of lower remuneration. Women comply in these cases more often then men. Reason is seen in women's greater responsibility towards the family, lower self-reliance, as well as lower evaluation for own chances to find alternative job.
