Social effects and structure of unemployment in Russia

русская версия

Опубликовано на портале: 19-01-2005
"Social effects and structure of unemployment in Russia" (by Leonid Gorgon and Edouard Klopov) studies current unemployment in Russia parallel to other synchronously occurring transformative processes in the country. Thus, it becomes clear that a basic reason for relatively slow rates of unemployment growth is a considerable reduction of incomes for a majority of Russian earners. It was found as well that similarity of material and social conditions of the majorities in both unemployed and employed sectors of populace did not lead to a massive marginalisation of the unemployed, though a partial marginalisation of this group cannot be written off.
