"Sociological research in service market" (by Polina Malysheva) deals with forming market relations between buyers and sellers of sociological product in today's Russia. Demand and supply regulate numbers of transactions at this market, as well as the pricing. The article is based on the content analysis of advertising/reference information, and a field study in Moscow (1999) among sociological firms staff members. Specifics of the above market are seen as a function of actual Russian economic conditions with unfair competition, clientelism, price wars, instability etc. More of analytical information and of intensive research in the field is pleaded for.
