"Behavior strategy of strikes participants" (by Audrey Zaitsev, A. Klement'ev, S. Ermakova,
Yu.Karpenkov) looks into specific traits in the behavior of strike participants. Concept of goal
dependency by M. Deutsch and the theory of goal orientation by R. Blake and J. Mouton served as the
theoretical base of the study. 20 strikes in the industrial units in the Central region of Russia were studied
between October 1996 and October 1997 using the expert poll method involving all parties in labor
conflicts. The hypothesis that all sides in the strikes are resorting to a 'pushing-through' strategy to
achieve their corporate goals has found its confirmation in the data collected as well as the fact that a
change in the behavior of any party in the conflict is of interactive importance.
