Topics: Central European University, a graduate institution accredited in the United States and Hungary, invites applications for the PhD Program in Political Science, accredited in the United States. The Doctoral School offers five specializations: Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Economy, Political Theory, and Public Policy. The doctoral program of is one of the largest, most international and most competitive programs in Europe. Students, typically coming from more than 30 countries, can choose supervisors from a pool of more than 35 professors. The taught element of the program is composed of 24 US credits. During their studies the doctoral candidates are actively introduced to research networks in their field through participation in graduate conferences and in major research projects.
Eligibility: Applicants are expected to hold an internationally recognized Master’s or comparable degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or a similar politics- and/or policy-related program.
Deadline: January 24, 2011 for applicants who wish to take CEU-administered admissions examinations and/or are requesting exemption from the English language proficiency requirement and March 14, 2011 for native speakers of English and for applicants submitting applications complete with language scores.
