It may include topical issues such as the European response to the upheavals in the broader Middle East, European foreign policy  post-Lisbon,  the  external  effects  of  the  Eurozone  crisis,  the  EU‟s  role  in  global  governance  and  the international  implications  of  the  return  of  nationalism  as  a  political  force  on  the  European  continent.  Similarly, attention  to  the  external  implications  of  internal  EU  developments  such  as  the  push  towards  a  (Digital)  Single Market and creation of the space of freedom and security are welcomed. The EUIA Conference will be open to all relevant disciplines and sub-disciplines, including international and European law, international political economy, economics, political science, international relations and history.
