In the article the effect of factor “the commercial bank size” on key parameters of bank competitiveness from a position of the theory of competitive advantages of M. Porter is defined and grounded. Mechanisms of influence of the studied factor on a condition of its competitive advantages are resulted. Accomplishments and shortcomings of the size of bank increase ways applied for the purpose of competitiveness increase are revealed. Influence of dynamics of the size of bank on a condition of its competitive advantages is investigated.
