The article analyses the main types and forms of political and social advertising that were created by Russian emigrants in different countries and world regions. Article examines a role of advertising and publicity in the activity of Russian social and political movements abroad in the 20 th century in their opposition to Bolshevik regime; shows the using of social advertising by the emigrants’ charitable organizations. Author indicates the significance of political and social advertising in the conservation of cultural identity in Russian foreign diasporas.
