"Aggressive" TV - social and psychological analysis of the phenomenon

"Aggressive TV - social and psychological analysis of the phenomenon" is
devoted to the issue of TV-influences on the viewers in the youth age. For the purposes
of the study frequency of TV-production with 'aggressive' titles on the main Ukrainian
and Russian TV-channels was recorded. The resultant figures came to constitute 7
to 10 per cent on the Ukrainian and 10 to 30 percent on Russian channels respectively.
Reasons of TV-production popularity among today's young people are extensively discussed,
as well as popularity of some more 'aggressive' titles in this production. Popularity
of TV-production items under discussion is found to be closely related to individual
and social characteristics of the viewers. There is, as author asserts, an established
firm correlation between
frequency index of watching violent movies and cases of aggressive deviant behavior.
