русская версия

Опубликовано на портале: 18-10-2004
"Soviet gender contracts and their transformation in contemporary Russia" (by Anna Tiomkina and Anna Rotkirch) analyses changes in gender order and gender contracts in Russian society. The authors describe gender order as a combination of official (legitimate) contract in the form of working mother, everyday (shadow) and illegitimate contracts. Making of post-soviet gender contracts, that is, working mother, professional women, housewife-breadwinner, and sponsoring contract is studied as re-configuration of contracts, which had been fundamental for the soviet-time gender order. The paper is based on numerous interviews focussed mainly at urban educated middle class membres.
