"Anomie peculiarities in the modern Russian society" is devoted to one of the most
urgent problems of the social life in contemporary Russia. The author points out
that the anomie in Russian society tends mostly to take place in the criminal forms.
Thus, criminalization is arguably something more then the process of growing crime
rates. The terms would describe disappearance of the borders between the approved
and the disapproved forms of behavior among a growing number of individuals, along
with elimination of law as a value and making of a considerable stock of recruits
for criminal world. Criminalization is further seen in a marked change in the social
structure of society with certain strata of the criminal world performing the role
of the middle class.
