The image of Poland and the Polish in Russia is neutral or moderately positive. Obvious minority of respondents display a negative attitude. Meanwhile the image of Germany and the Germans is better than that of Poland and the Polish. The main associations of the Russians concerning Poland are connected mostly with the country and society, while Germany is associated above all with history. Comparative analysis of the situation in the three countries shows that Poland is perceived by the respondents as a country which is closer to Germany in its political-economical standards than to Russia. The respondents believe the relations between Russia and Germany to be considerably better than those with Poland. The Russians are of better opinion about Germany and Poland than about their own country. Almost half of the Russians maintain that there were such events in the history of relations between Poland and Russia for which Poland should feel guilty.
